Well if there's one thing I've learned about people we're all different. We all have fantasies, but very few of us actually get to act them out. Now the first question you have to ask yourself, is "is she serious or just messing with your head"? If she is serious what will be the repercussions if any.
Some women can handle this type of thing and others cannot (probably the vast majority), however only you know your wife better than most so you'll have to figure that out. Has she exhibited this type of behavior before you were married?
Now if this is totally against your grain just simply tell her no way Jose and let it go at that. Because frankly there's no way I'm doing that for my wife, love be dammed. However if it is something that you are contemplating (and the average guy would be contemplating). Think it through, discuss it thoroughly and remember whatever happens there will be a reaction. Whether its a positive or negative reaction will depend upon your wife.
Ask her what's making her feel that this is necessary in order for the two of you to have a fulfilling sex life. Obviously she feels as if something is lacking and believes that living out this fantasy will make a difference. Reality dictates that the outcome of bringing someone else into the bedroom is not so great for most couples. You need to talk it out and agree that it needs to remain in the realm of fantasy or seek counseling to get to the root of whatever the REAL problem is between you.

I think if you're willing to bring other people into your bed when you're married, you might as well just be single. When you marry, you're supposed to want to leave the swinging, wild single life style to be with the one person. Marriage is sacred, and I just wish that people would start understanding that.

More than anything, I'd try to get to the bottom of why it was that this was a turn-on for her. The point being, so that maybe we could simulate something like it w/out actually bringing somebody else into it (which just crosses the line for me). For instance, if it would get her off, maybe I could jerk it to a porno while she watched. Or we could both pretend she was somebody else while I had my way with her. Or something.

If she really wants this then you guys need to talk becasue your walking into a mine field that yes is fun for a few hours but will be hung over your head for YEARS. It would scare the living hell out of me. I wouldn't know how to take it. On 1 hand she could be setting me up, just to see what I would do.
