Are women also interested to watch or read Pornography?

I mean like reading a Magazine, or watching a Movie or browsing the internet. My partner sometimes complains of it, but its normal for most men. I'm curious about women's preference, choice or taste when it comes to pornography. If you are interested, what do you normally like to watch? Naked men? Naked couples doing it? Naked women?

I don't think most women obsess over sexual imagery the way that men do. I know that for most men, it's almost a daily ritual! Whereas, most women can survive without seeing a naked body for several weeks. Yes, there are exceptions... just as there are plenty of girls who will flash their boobs in public too... but that's not typical of the average American woman!

I've enjoyed reading porn about supposedly "real" experiences(Penthouse Forum, Nancy Friday's books), and the video porn I've liked to watch is usually real people too (Playboy TV's Amateurs, etc.).

I would enjoy porn more if it had realistic people doing realistic things, and it had a good story. 95% of porn is made for hetero men by predominantly gay men or men that do not understand what women really want (lots of pretty dumb guido types of all ethnic backgrounds, real sleezeballs). The 5% that is made by women supposedly for women always has typical bimbo porn stars in it, and the acting and story lines are abysmal, so I can't really get into it.

I only watch video porn with my husband, and it's generally just something to get us quickly excited and then we switch it off and continue on with full attention to each other.

I really never got into web porn. It's just all really bad and tacky. Seriously, most women don't like the things that they do to women on web porn sites!

TBH, I actually get most excited watching a good and steamy R rated movie with a long and extended sex scene. Sometimes we'll pick movies on our NetFlix list based on the chances that there's a good scene like that in it... a lot of foreign films or artsier indie films deliver on that.

Yes of course, when I was a teenager I had a load of magazines and websites. It's just that we don't like to publicly say it, it's kind of embarassing. Definitely naked men, not usually couples because I'm not interested in the girls. I think for me, if it's a movie it has to be good acting and a story because otherwise it's not realistic.

I think women's use of porn is simply different from men's.

Men tend to be aroused by more visual and aural (sound) stimulation (photographs and movies). Women tend to be aroused by more mental stimulation (such as in writing or still photographs). Obviously, there are exceptions.

It seems, though, that men are aroused more by watching other people doing things that excite them ... whereas women tend to put themselves in the place of the actress and become aroused at the thought of such things happening to them.

The men I've discussed it with say when they self-stimulate it's usually just a mechanical process with little thought, just reacting to stimulation. The women I've discussed it with say they are playing out fantasies in their mind's eye.
