Why do guys hate it soo much when women watch talk shows?

Every boyfriend I've had doesn't like it when I watch things like Dr. Phil, Oprah, Tyra, etc. Why Not? What's the deal?

Because your awareness is being raised and you're acquiring a healthier view of yourself. This makes you harder to control and dominate.

Well, I'm guessing that your many boyfriends have all liked the Daily Show, and the Colbert Report, and David Letterman; and, when they weren't watching sports, they probably enjoyed watching the History Channel, and sometimes Nova. Those are all "talk" shows, in a sense--they have talking in them. The difference between what that small army of boyfriends of yours like to watch, and Dr. Phil, Oprah, Tyra, etc., is about sixty I.Q. points.

Because they consider those shows meaningless. While of course, sports are so very important and necessary to follow and make such a difference to people's lives.

Its just part of the old double standard.

My exgirlfriend used to watch Oprah all the time, and she wouldn't shut up about it!!

I mean, I get that she likes the show. But I'd rather talk about something else.

They are probably whoring that you are having ideas put into your head that they do not agree with it.. Talk shows seem to get streight to the point rather or not men like it.

Because they maybe think you'll begin to be too independent, and harder to control. But seriously Oprah/Dr. Phil/etc rules. Keep watching. It's your life after all.
