Do women use mens shoes and watch to evaluate them?

A female friend of mine said "I often pay attention to the guys shoes and his watch when going on dates." Is this something that women do or is she just evaluating to much? If you do look at shoes and watch, what are you looking at about the shoe and watch?

They're looking at how expensive your watch is, because that is usually a sign of how much money you make and how much they'll be able to freeload off of you. Sorry to be cynical by I saw this episode of Dr. Phil (who should be slapped out of his self righteousness) about self proclaimed gold diggers who say that this is exactly what they do when they want a rich guy.

Absolutely! Shawn had a "balance check" but not anywhere near the amount the chinese girl did on the beam and got a lower score, WTF? I am just glad that they took silver and gold.

There is no bias!!!! I think people need to understand the scoring system before making these harsh accusations. The chinese routines generally always involve more difficult routines and thus, the more difficult the routine the higher your score starts out and the more mistakes you can make. This is simply how the scoring system works. So, just because you saw a chinese girl committing more mistakes than an american girl does not mean that the chinese girl automatically should get a lower score. If the chinese girl has a more difficult routine than the american girl, which is almost always the case, the chinese girl will likely get the higher score.

As far as the judges go, the judges are not all chinese!!! Only one of the judges is chinese, another is american, and the rest are from other countries who do not have participants in the olympics. Just to play devil's advocate, it might be possible due to the perception of US policy throughout the world (which isn't favorable for the most part) that some judges may dislike the US, but that is a far-fetched accusation.

China do not need favoritism from the judges. If they won, it was because they performed well and if they lost, they accepted that they have not done their best. Chinese have "sportsmanship" in them. Chinese are not so losers like westerners. When the US lost the team gold , they claimed that China had cheated but when the Chinese lost to the US, did they say anything, no. In fact the Chinese congratulated the US team.

I saw it last night. It was so awesome. I was moved to tears when Nastia took the gold and Shawn took the silver. They were great last night. I feel that the judges may be showing favoritism to China because the Olympics are being held in China. Some of the performances by China were scored too high and then some of the performances by other countries were scored too low. Go USA.

Clearly biased, but we still won despite the judges' best efforts to hand the gold to the Chinese. Both Johnson and Liukin repeatedly got screwed in the scoring, especially Liukin's vault and bars scores. The Chinese girls got far more generous favorable scores, but still couldn't win. The margin of victory should have been much greater.

Really depends on personality. There is no one movie perfect for everyone of a set gender. For example... one of my friends likes "Raise Your Voice" and basically anything with Hillary Duff. I like "Pans Labyrinth", "The Ring" and "V for Vendetta". Last time I checked none of those were rated G.

The wedding Daze is good. It is a story of parent that married off their 3 daughter in a triple wedding. It is story of love, sacrifice, joy, fulfillment, true love and unexpected reward and ending. It is not only funny but very emotional movie. I just watch it and my wife, my daughters, and I enjoy it thoroughly

As a video industry veteran for over 25 years I suggest THE NOTEBOOK. Excellent movie, and it will bring tears to both of you. There are some pretty hot make out scenes, though if that bothers you. It is available only on DVD, less than $13 at Wal-Mart.

Choice number two would be HAIRSPRAY. Fun and lots of singing. Definitely a feel good movie. I laughed a lot, and it is still in some theaters.

Why do women always watch Romantic Comedies?

I work at a movie rental store and women always rent romantic comedies like 13 going on 30, How to lose a guy in 10 days, 27 dresses etc.. Why do they like those movies. It seems like they are evolutionary wired to enjoy those movies.

Sometimes I watch them when am in the mood for a relaxed night and a movie that I don't need to wreck my brains to figure out.

I don't think most women obsess over sexual imagery the way that men do. I know that for most men, it's almost a daily ritual! Whereas, most women can survive without seeing a naked body for several weeks. I think women's use of porn is simply different from men's.

Men tend to be aroused by more visual and aural (sound) stimulation (photographs and movies). Women tend to be aroused by more mental stimulation (such as in writing or still photographs). Obviously, there are exceptions.

It seems, though, that men are aroused more by watching other people doing things that excite them ... whereas women tend to put themselves in the place of the actress and become aroused at the thought of such things happening to them.

The men I've discussed it with say when they self-stimulate it's usually just a mechanical process with little thought, just reacting to stimulation. The women I've discussed it with say they are playing out fantasies in their mind's eye.

Well if there's one thing I've learned about people we're all different. We all have fantasies, but very few of us actually get to act them out. Now the first question you have to ask yourself, is "is she serious or just messing with your head"? If she is serious what will be the repercussions if any.

I wouldn't because I think sports are boring. However, when I was young there were a number of sportsmen who girls at my school were very keen on. There was the football player George Best for instance, who many of the girls were absolutely nutty about (one of them was still keen on him up until the time of his death just a few years ago). And there was a tennis player called Ilya Nastase who they were very keen on too.

I don't suppose women who watch men's sports need cheerleaders, because the sportsmen themselves are the focu of interest.

OK I've thought.

There are only 2 reasons I can think of to watch American football or "gridiron" and they are 1. fullbacks and 2. tight ends. Silly cheerleaders would just get in the way.

Same for the footy. Why is AFL (Aussie Rules) so much more fun to watch? Much faster game, plus tighter shorts.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind a more interesting show on the sidelines, but not something sleazy like cheerleading. Maybe some really competent fire-twirling and acrobatics.

The problem with the female cheerleading setup is it's an uneasy mix of gymnastic and dance prowess with tacky porn-style display of bodies. This is sending confused messages and turning families off attending live sporting events. A lot of teams such as Souths are getting away from that and putting on more interesting shows in the breaks.

Before anyone gets huffy about this consider that Souths are Russell Crowe's team, and he's about as masculine as anyone could wish.

i think it differs depending on the individual,what there attracted to and the fact that maybe they just like watching the sport itself and don't care about unrelated details,for instance i watch two completely different sports for different reasons,i watch ufc because i've been in martial arts most of my life and it's the closest thing to no holds barred on television,i watch it for the sake of the sport,i watch japanese male figure skating because i find the men attractive

To be honest, I don't think girls would be more inclined to enjoy sports more at all if those changes were made. Even if there were "eye candy" for girls, think about how little time is dedicated to the cheerleaders.

No. The only sports I'm even remotely interested in are equestrian sports (show jumping & dressage). The beautiful horses provide me with all the eye candy I need.

How can women watch a movie without a single high-speed chase or helicopter and not get bored?

I love those kinds of movies! One of my all time favs, though, is Gladiator. No helicopter and high-speed chases...but, it's a great movie.

I love action movies, and chick flicks. Trust me...my guy gets me to watch more of his-type movies, than he ever would watch a chick flick.

Because *I* like a good story. I read Heavy Metal comics for god's sakes, so after spending all my life reading and feeling inspired by original stories of sci-fi and fantasy artists that were kicking around in the 70s and 80s, things have to be creative and thoughtful.

Like, I don't know; Predator is awesome. As is Soldier and even the Hitcher I like. You can even count me in on Split Second.

But take me out to watch some total celebrity wankfest like mission impossible II, I get bored and cranky.

First poster, we agree. But there are women like me who also like "high octane" films. In fact, I usually prefer them to romantic comedies. But a good drama, great, complex character development (a la Hitchcock) or fantastic plot twists (think David Mamet) or a grand romance (anything from Twilight to Casablanca) and I am just as hooked as a 12 year old fanboy to the latest comic book adaptation.

Hell if I know, buddy. I personally have a thing for comic book movies and horror movies. I have to tell you, the Tranformers, Revenge of the Fallen is freaking awesome! And guess what? Next month G.I. Joe is coming out, looks great. It has been a banner year for really good action movies. Thank goodness, because one more "feel good movie of the year" and I will vomit to feel better.

Because sports is a game. Other "unscripted" television is just a looser version of scripted programming. There are story lines and I don't think you could really compare the two.

Most of the women I know love to watch sports. I myself am a giant hockey fan (go Pens!) & the girls in my office all love football. I like reality too & the only guy in my office watches that & not sports (no, he's not gay). Apparently the only girls you know are the type the don;t like sports, but you should really try to avoid such sweeping generalizations ...

Not all women dont like to watch sports. Some do, but those who dont just dont like it. Its their personality. Im sure there are guys who don't like certain sports or dont like sports at all and dont enjoy watching them because they're unco.

For some weird reason, I like men's fashion better than women's. The problem is, of course, I'm a female. Today I was online shopping for a watch only to find that I'm attracted to men's watch than women's.

Hey..if you like it, go for it. Diane Keaton looked just darling in Annie Hall and started a whole fashion movement there for a while..ALL women were wearing menswear and mixing it up with lace and feminine stuff--it was a fun look...Ralph Lauren became really big during that time...as did the fitted vests with lacy shirts and mens ties...

its hot. seriously, i find it sexy when women wear mens clothes. im guessing the cut is different & doesnt fit as it should but thats your open door to start a design company to fill the gap. i think theres alot of cross, not uni, matching. there are fabrics id like to wear but arent available in teeshirt form & are way too flamboyant. there are designs i like but would need to be adjusted to a hetro male. set it up & sell me some clothes. didya get the watch?

"You tube" will be your best bet. I've watched a few on there and some births have been just beautiful. The best thing is you don't have to go to some lame ante-natal class and watch the video they have which is usually nothing like the real thing.

I've seen all sorts of births of YouTube from home water births to c-sections. It does help to know what you are in for in any situation.

Go to google and type in "Women Giving Birth Videos" and the first link should be babycenter.com. You will have to sign up but has a ton of videos. You can see how and epidural is done, a water birth, birth of twins... etc. It's a pretty good site.

Go on you tube (www.youtube.com) and use their search button. You will find a lot of home videos over there. But I think you need to sign up and prove that you're over 18 in order to view those kinds of videos.
